The Festival has established itself as a major film event in the Mid-Atlantic region. Festival production represents a team effort of volunteers and more than fifty sponsors joining the Rehoboth Beach Film Society in creating an amazing five day cultural experience not typically found in a non-metropolitan setting. This multi-day event attracts film enthusiasts from more than sixteen states and beyond, thereby favorably impacting area businesses in the fall shoulder season. At a time when many businesses are preparing to close for the season or experiencing slow periods, the festival audience provides an economic boost comparable to a summer weekend.

Since its inception, the Festival has set new attendance records every year for ticket sales and screening sell-outs. Ticket sales are approaching 20,000.

A major Festival feature is the Big Tent Box Office which provides a relaxing place to pick out films to see, grab a bite to eat, and socialize with other festival goers.
