The program contains film descriptions, screening times, locations, events, and all the additional information you need.
Festival Pass buyers will receive a Festival Program (except for Mini Pass buyers), their Festival Pass, and ticket ordering instructions by US Mail in early October.
Beginning in mid-October, the program is posted online and distributed to the public at various local businesses.
Please patronize Festival sponsors and advertisers. Their ads provide useful information about restaurants, lodging, shopping, and services in the area.
In order to purchase tickets to Festival screenings you must have a Festival Pass (except for Rush Ticket Sales, see “#5 – At the Festival” section, below).
A Festival Pass may only be used by the person named on the Pass. Festival Pass holders may buy one ticket per film title.
There are six levels of Festival Passes, each with a different set of benefits. The Mini Pass is available for those making a short visit. The Festival Pass level determines when you may buy tickets.
Film Society membership is optional, but members receive a discount on the price of the Festival Pass and on film tickets. Both Membership and Festival Pass costs are 100% tax deductible to the full extent of the law.

Festival Pass holders may purchase one ticket per film title throughout the Festival. Tickets may not be purchased for screenings that overlap. Please Note: Festival passes and film tickets are not transferable or refundable.
▶CHOOSE FILMS AND MAKE A PLAN
Allow at least 20 minutes between the end of a film and the start of the next for travel and parking. Online ticketing will not permit tighter scheduling. Late arrivals pose a safety hazard in a dark theater and interrupt others.
▶HAVE ALTERNATE FILM CHOICES IN CASE OF A SELL-OUT
You may find that the film you enjoy most is one you didn’t originally intend to see. Take advantage of this opportunity to see films outside your comfort zone! Sell-outs that occur during pre-Festival ticket sales are listed on the RBFS website. Throughout pre-Festival ticket sales and during the Festival, sold-out screenings will not be available for purchase on the online ticket order form.
▶CHANGE YOUR MIND?
In the Cinema Art Theater Box Office ONLY, you may swap tickets for a $1 fee (per ticket) with exact change/cash only up to one hour before the start time of the film ticket being turn in.
▶PURCHASE A SEPARATE TICKET FOR EACH FILM
Festival Pass holder ticket: $10
Member Festival Pass holder ticket: $9 (for the member only)
Rush ticket: $15 exact change, cash only
▶ONLINE PRE-FESTIVAL TICKET SALES
Online Ticket Sales. All tickets will be sold online. Online sales become available at 12:01 am on the opening date. Assistance will be provided at the RBFS office, during pre-festival ticket sales. Print your tickets for admission to screenings.
Combined Ticket Ordering. Any two Festival Pass holders may submit a single combined order however both Pass holders must be eligible to purchase tickets at the time the order is placed.
Director and Producer Passes
Director and Producer Pass holders may buy tickets for the entire Festival starting 2 weeks before Festival, October 14 – 25. (One ticket per film title. Only one order may be submitted during pre-Festival sales.)
Screenwriter Pass holders may buy tickets for the entire Festival starting the week before the Festival, October 28 – 30. (One ticket per film title. Only one order may be submitted during pre-Festival sales.)
Film Buff and Student Passes
▶TICKET SALES DURING THE FESTIVAL
Tickets to all screenings will be sold online for eligible Pass holders. Assistance will be available at the Cinema Art Theater (CAT) Box Office for anyone needing help with online ordering. Online ticket sales close 20 minutes before each screening.
Mini Pass holders purchase tickets on the day of the screening, online or at the CAT Box Office. The Mini Pass is good for four films, valid for screenings any day(s) of the Festival, one ticket per film title.
Correct Venue? Check printed film tickets for location of each screening.
Parking. Free parking is available at all locations. Please observe handicap parking and no parking zones. Cars parked in non-defined spaces may be towed by the venue management at the car owner’s expense.
Festival Pass Required. A Festival Pass must be shown with the printed film ticket for admission to each screening (except for Rush Tickets).
RUSH TICKET SALES. At all screenings that are not sold out, 10 minutes before the start of the film, any available seat can be purchased for $15 with exact change, cash only. A Festival Pass is not required to purchase Rush Tickets.
Lining up. Lines form about 30 minutes before the film starts.
Priority Admission. As a benefit to Director level, Festival Passes and some sponsor levels, priority admission badge holders may enter the theater early and save one seat.
Saving seats. Any person may only save one seat.
Leaving the theater. At the end of each screening, everyone is required to exit with all of their possessions, including trash.
Become a Film Society Member. Join the Rehoboth Beach Film Society by registering online, by mail, in person at the Film Society office, or at the Cinema Art Theater during the Festival.
Payment options. Only cash, Visa, or MasterCard are accepted as payment for tickets, membership, Festival Passes, and merchandise. Cash payment exact change only for Rush Ticket Sales.
No smoking. All venues are smoke-free.
Merchandise. Inventory is limited, so buy your Festival souvenirs early at the Cinema Art Theater Box Office. Quality gifts are available at reasonable prices.
Pets are not permitted at any venues. A PAT-certified service dog with proof of certification may accompany its owner.
Lost & Found is at each location during the Festival, and at the RBFS office thereafter.
Cameras. No cameras or other recording devices may be used during film screenings. Please turn off all electronic devices (cell phones, beepers, etc.).
Venue temperatures. Temperatures in the theaters may fluctuate. Dressing in layers is helpful with varying temperatures at each venue.
Recycling. Help us make this a Go Green Festival by disposing of recyclables in the appropriate recycling containers where available.
Trash Removal. Please take your trash as you exit a theater and deposit in a trash receptacle.
