A Season of Giving
The Rehoboth Beach Film Society (RBFS) operates the Cinema Art Theater (CAT), a community focused arts and education center, in Lewes. This fall, the Society has returned to full operations post-Pandemic. The award-winning Rehoboth Beach Independent Film Festival (RBIFF) just wrapped up its 24th Anniversary in November featuring a diverse line of 14 films.
The Society now turns its attention to overdue and much needed upgrades to the projection equipment at the CAT. The planned upgrades will occur in January 2023 and total $17,000.
A 1:1 MATCH
With much thanks to a generous, anonymous donor, we have been provided with a 1:1 match up to $4,000. The match will double your giving and provide the Society with the opportunity to raise $8,000 toward the $17,000 needed by the end of 2022. These upgrades will improve the overall cinema experience for all patrons and visitors to the CAT.
These critical upgrades to our theater will provide a system of ‘networkable’ devices that can be serviced and maintained by technicians remotely. With the ability to provide remote, just in-time service, both screening rooms at the CAT will experience less maintenance downtime, and our patrons will enjoy a better visual and sound cinema experience.
