LORI PHILLIPS FUND FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE

Lori Phillips’ involvement with the Rehoboth Beach Film Society began as a film enthusiast, transitioned to a volunteer, and culminated as a Board member, serving from January, 2002 until her untimely death in April, 2004. At the Rehoboth Beach Independent Film Festival in 2004, Lori’s family presented a financial donation to the Film Society in memory of Lori.

The Board of Directors decided to establish a fund in Lori’s name with a focus that corresponds to Lori’s personal commitment to social justice. An annual draw from this fund will be matched by an equal amount from the Film Society’s annual operating budget and will be used to support a community outreach and/or educational film initiative that promotes social justice at the grassroots level and shall be advertised as being sponsored by the Lori Phillips Fund for Social Justice.

The Film Society invites film enthusiasts, supporters of the Film Society, and friends of Lori Phillips to make donations to the Lori Phillips Fund for Social Justice. It is through donor generosity, and the future generosity of others, that the Film Society will be able to continue Lori’s commitment to social justice.
