Become an Intern

The Film Society provides supervised intern opportunities for students and adults wanting to acquire work experience.
-
Intern hours: Monday – Friday, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
-
Some evening or weekend hours may be requested.
-
The RBFS is very flexible about schedules. There is no specific weekly requirement.

Please note that Internships are unpaid positions.

Applicants must be 16 years of age or older to apply.
INTERN OPPORTUNITIES
-
Update and build database files
-
Prepare various marketing strategies
-
Learn about daily operations, including but not limited to mailings, flyer or poster distribution, ticket sales, membership registration, etc.
-
Provide technical assistance with cataloguing and consolidating film inventory.

Assist with coordinating annual fundraising events.
-
Assist with special projects as appropriate
-
Assist with film screening process to determine entries for film festival
SKILLS PREFERRED
-
Windows Movie Maker
-
Digital Video Camcorder operation experience
-
Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Publisher experience
-
High level of organization
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision

Detail oriented
-
Flexible and friendly

Excellent communication skills
